Our Diagnosis Stomach biopsy: Severe acute and chronic inflammation with Helicobacter pylori Comment: This case is unusual for the highly purulent exudate. Organisms are most prominent in the upper portions of the crypts and on the surface often embedded in the mucus or clinging to epithelial cells. They appear as small curved or linear basophilic structures.
