NEARLY 3,000 PEOPLE, MOST OF THEM PRESCHOOLERS, DIED TRAGICALLY YESTERDAY. Malaria kills this number of individuals daily worldwide. Tremendous human suffering results from this treatable disease, yet it never makes the headlines. This website outlines the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and diagnosis of malaria, and is a collaborative effort of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and American Registry of Pathology, Washington, DC, USA.
